Import your contacts from Mailchimp, Kit, beehiiv and other platforms

What comes across

Names and tags come across as mapped. Tags come from the platforms that export them, from Mailchimp's TAGS column to Ghost labels and MailerLite groups, and an import adds them without starting any tag-triggered sequence. Anyone who unsubscribed, reported spam or bounced on the old platform comes in unsubscribed and gets no marketing email.

People who never confirmed stay out of the import, and a contact you already have keeps its status, so nobody who opted out here is resubscribed by a file.

What is checked, and what is refused

Every address that comes in subscribed is checked first. Dead domains, throwaway mailbox services, likely typos of the big mailbox providers and system mailboxes such as postmaster are refused, and a report you can download lists each refusal with the line in your file, the reason and, for a typo, the corrected address.

A file can hold up to 100,000 rows and 50 MB, and each workspace runs one import at a time.

Two questions first

Before anything is read, the import asks whether these people agreed to hear from you and when they last did. A list that never heard from you is refused. A list last mailed more than a year ago comes in, and the first email to each contact it brings goes out in checked batches rather than all at once.
